My name is Joshua Acosta and I’m finishing my third year as a history major at CSULB. I was born in Oxnard, California, and grew up in the Long Beach area. My interests as far as history goes focus on the early modern Pacific world, cross-cultural interactions, and material culture. I am taking this class as part of the honors thesis schema for the history department, but also out of interest after doing a workshop on digital humanities at UCLA over the summer. I am interested to see how history can be taught and conveyed by taking advantage of contemporary mediums in disseminating information. I hope to learn new skills and creative ways to display my scholarship!
My twitter handle is @jgacostaa
