Hello Everyone! My name is Christopher Moorhouse. I am a fourth year history major with modern US and modern World as my areas of focus. I am working towards my teaching credential so after I graduate in May, I will be returning to CSULB for another year to finish up my credential. I am hoping to teach high school US history. I am also a pretty big music nerd, having played trumpet for 12 1/2 years. With this, I would love to work with the band program at the future school I teach at, helping out with the after school music programs.
In my free time, I like to travel and see both California and other states throughout the US. I like to go hiking and see the many unique sites that California has to offer. I also love to read, especially Stephen King. I am also a pretty avid Broadway fan. I try to go to as many as I can. My favorite is Les Miserables which I have seen twice, once in London, and the second in Dallas, Texas. This year I plan on seeing Phantom of the Opera, Rent, and Les Miserables at the Pantages Theater.
My reasoning for taking this class is similar to many others. In order for this to count for a world history class, my final project will need to be a world history project. With that, I was also interested in this class as a tool to supplement researching. As I am taking 499 this semester, I want to use this class to help my research, therefore making 499 easier.
Well that’s all about me and why I am taking this class. I am excited to learn more about digital history and go on this journey of learning.
